Tech Tools
Smart apps and digital tools that do the work and record, edit, convert, research or create. The platforms I use to get things done fast.
Loom
iLovePDF
An all-in-one online PDF tool platform that offers a wide range of free and easy-to-use features for managing PDF documents. You can merge, split, compress, convert PDFs to and from Word or HTML, edit PDF content, add watermarks, protect files with passwords, and reorganize pages.
YouTube to Transcript
A free online tool that generates transcripts from YouTube videos. It supports transcript generation in multiple languages and can translate transcripts into over 125 languages. The platform offers easy copying and editing of transcripts, making it convenient for users to take notes or work with video content in different languages quickly and efficiently.
A simple and efficient video messaging tool that lets you quickly create and share short explainer videos by recording your screen, camera, and voice all at once. You can easily explain ideas, give feedback, or demonstrate processes without scheduling meetings or writing long emails. Loom's free plan, called the Starter plan, allows users to create up to 25 videos with a recording time limit of 5 minutes per video.
Vert
Consensus
Consensus is my go-to tool when I want to understand what the scientific literature actually says about a treatment, supplement, or health claim without spending hours digging through papers. It’s built specifically to search, analyze, and summarise peer-reviewed research. I use it to sanity-check ideas, especially in areas like longevity, health and nutrition where strong opinions often outpace evidence. It cuts through noise by giving me quick, directionally accurate summaries, links to the underlying studies, and enough context to know whether something is worth deeper investigation.
Clever Cleaner - IOS AI Cleanup App
A genuinely free AI iPhone storage cleaner that helps you quickly spot duplicates, large files, and photo/video clutter. It helps you clean it up with simple swipe right or left decisions. I like it because it’s not another “free trial” trap: no subscriptions, no paywalls, no ads (at least for now). Great before trips, big photo weeks, or when your phone suddenly screams “Storage Full.”
VERT is a clean, no-nonsense file converter that runs most processing locally on my device, which makes it both fast and trustworthy. I use it when someone sends me an image, audio file, or document in a format I can’t open or can’t drop directly into my workflow. It’s frictionless: drag, convert, done. No ads, no size limits, and no hidden tricks. For quick conversions, especially when I want to avoid shady online tools, it’s become my default.
